Service subscription
Enjoy full comfort with full flexibility
Our most popular license model. All services such as the automatic delivery of updates for new versions are included in this subscription. Just like our first-class Premium Service, which provides you with personal assistance at any time at no extra cost. Practical: You determine the duration of your service subscription yourself and always have control over the costs.
What terms are available?
Terms of 1, 3, 6, 12 and 24 months are available. The longer the term, the cheaper the service subscription.
Who benefits in particular?
The service subscription is ideal for power users who work often and frequently with CAD and for anyone who likes to keep their software up to date.
How is payment made?
We invoice either monthly, every three months or annually. Simply pay by bank transfer or by direct debit via SEPA direct debit mandate.

- Once the agreed term has expired, the application will no longer function. You can easily extend the service subscription for further use.
Classic license
The classic software purchase
For an additional charge, you will receive a license for AutoSTAGE, which you can use for an unlimited period of time. The maintenance contract with the latest updates and our first-class premium service is included free of charge for the first year. After expiry, you can extend the maintenance contract for a fee.
Who benefits in particular?
The Classic license is ideal for the occasional user who only needs to create a CAD drawing or technical plan from time to time.
How is payment made?
We bill by invoice. Simply pay by bank transfer.
What are the advantages of the Classic license?
- You can use the license for an unlimited period of time
What are the disadvantages of the Classic license?
- The maintenance contract must be extended for a further year after expiry for a fee in order to continue to receive the latest updates and our premium service
- Without updates, you will be working with outdated software after a while
- Higher one-off acquisition costs
- The costs of the software must be amortized for tax purposes. This may result in a tax disadvantage compared to the service subscription
Free educational version
For a steep learning curve
We are happy to support you in your training with a free AutoSTAGE license.
The educational version is reserved exclusively for pupils, students, trainees and master students.
It is NOT authorized for commercial use. For this reason, a watermark is displayed in every AutoSTAGE object in the educational version of AutoSTAGE.
Do you meet the requirements? Then we will be happy to send you the free educational version of AutoSTAGE.
Requirements for the educational version
To receive the free educational version, you must provide us with a valid training certificate. You will receive the educational version as a service subscription with a term of 12 months. After the service subscription expires, it can be extended by presenting a new education certificate.
For educational institutions
Educational institutions such as vocational schools or universities receive AutoSTAGE as a service subscription free of charge.
Licensing

The AutoSTAGE modules are activated using a licensing system.
Choose between a simple software key, the SoftKey, or a USB dongle, the FlexDongle.
FlexDongle
Can be used anywhere
You will receive licenses from us that are stored in a license container. The license container is stored on a special USB dongle, the FlexDongle. This is a great thing, because it means you are independent of an installation on a specific end device. You can install the application on any number of workstations. You can work wherever the dongle is plugged in.
Choose your FlexDongle from five variants:
- Plastic
- Metal
- Compact turquoise
- Compact
- USB-C
You should know this: All licenses and activations are stored on the FlexDongle. If the FlexDongle is lost, these are lost and CANNOT be replaced by us. We will only replace a FlexDongle in the following exceptions:
- Theft
Upon presentation of a police report for a stolen FlexDongle, we will replace the FlexDongle including the licenses stored on it. - Defective hardware
The FlexDongle is no longer recognized after being plugged into the computer? No problem, we will be happy to replace the FlexDongle including the licenses stored on it.
If you replace a FlexDongle, we will have to charge you for the hardware costs and shipping costs. Filling the replacement dongle with the agreed licenses is a service provided by us.
SoftKey
Computer-bound licensing
The SoftKey is a license container in which the individual license entries for activating the various AutoSTAGE modules in the computer's operating system are stored.
The SoftKey license container is therefore tied to the installation of Windows. A new SoftKey license container must be used with every new installation, hardware failure, change of computer or similar. We have to charge the costs for the new SoftKey license container.
Our tip: Only use the SoftKey if you are sure that the configuration of your computer will not change over a longer period of time.
Stand-alone license
With the stand-alone license, a local license is stored on the FlexDongle or in the SoftKey. The license can only be used on the workstation where the FlexDongle is plugged in or a SoftKey is available.
Network license
With the network license, a number of available licenses are stored in a FlexDongle or SoftKey, which are distributed in the network from a license server.
