Dipl. Ing. (FH) Jens Mueller is the founder and managing director of AutoSTAGE GmbH as well as Chief developer of the AutoSTAGE application.
As a technical tour guide in the music industry, he discovered his interest in sound and lighting in the mid-1990s. The desire for professionalization led him to Hamburg to study at the University of Applied Sciences. Due to a lack of alternatives, he developed plug-ins for AutoCAD@ specially tailored to event technology during his studies, making work easier, more productive and more cost-effective. Projects could thus be carried out efficiently and successfully.
After graduating from university, Jens Mueller gained further experience as a lighting technician, technical planner and project manager for various companies in the event technology industry in Germany and abroad.
In 2004 he published his technical expertise as the Lighting Technology Handbook, now available in its 6th edition. It is regarded as a standard work and compendium for practitioners in lighting and event technology.
In 2022 and 2023 Jens Mueller was nominated as Tech Soft 3D VIP for the very successful work with AutoCAD OEM.
AutoSTAGE is developed and marketed by a dedicated team led by Jens Mueller. His extensive experience from all areas of the production process for events is incorporated into the development, as are many good ideas and valuable suggestions and requests from users.
